{"id":1386,"date":"2025-08-19T08:20:22","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T08:20:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.securityfocus.ng\/?p=1386"},"modified":"2025-08-19T08:20:22","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T08:20:22","slug":"delta-state-troops-neutralize-three-kidnappers-in-fierce-gun-battle-in-otulu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.securityfocus.ng\/index.php\/2025\/08\/19\/delta-state-troops-neutralize-three-kidnappers-in-fierce-gun-battle-in-otulu\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta State Troops Neutralize Three Kidnappers in Fierce Gun Battle In Otulu"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soldiers from the 63 Bridge Nigerian Army, Asaba in Delta State on Monday gunned down three suspected kidnappers at Otulu community, Aniocha South Local Government Area.<br \/><br \/>The soldiers also recovered from the suspects, the sum of N2.4 million, 52 live rounds of ammunition, one AK-47 rifle, mobile phones and other valuables<br \/><br \/>It was gathered that the suspects were killed during a gun battle with the soldiers.<br \/><br \/>One of the soldiers also sustained gunshot wounds and he is currently receiving treatment with an injured suspect.<br \/><br \/>The suspects met their Waterloo after they abducted a staff of Seth Integrated Farms, identified as Igiri Samuel, and a young lady at Akwu-kwu-Igbo, headquarters of Oshimili North Local Government Area, on Friday.<br \/><br \/>Following the abduction, the Government House tracking unit swung into action in a combined effort with troops of the 63 Brigade.<br \/><br \/>They trailed the hoodlums from Atuma-Iga down to Otulu in Aniocha South Local Government Area.<br \/><br \/>Sighting the soldiers, the kidnappers opened fire.
