{"id":2348,"date":"2025-10-14T14:31:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T14:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.securityfocus.ng\/?p=2348"},"modified":"2025-10-14T14:31:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T14:31:10","slug":"police-bust-gombe-criminal-hideout-seize-drugs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.securityfocus.ng\/index.php\/2025\/10\/14\/police-bust-gombe-criminal-hideout-seize-drugs\/","title":{"rendered":"Police bust Gombe criminal hideout, seize drugs"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following a successful raid on a suspected criminal hideout behind the Gombe Local Government Shopping Complex on October 10, 2025, the Gombe State Police Command has recovered large quantities of illicit drugs.<br \/><br \/>DSP Buhari Abdullahi, the Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement, stated that the successful operation was carried out at about 9:00 p.m.<br \/><br \/>He said that in recent months, the command had intensified raids on black spots across the state as part of its ongoing effort to curb drug abuse and related crimes.<br \/><br \/><br \/>He explained that on sighting the advancing patrol team, the hoodlums took to their heels, abandoning quantities of hard drugs and illicit substances at the scene.<br \/><br \/>The police spokesperson said items recovered included, \u201cquantities of Suck and Die, Tramadol, and Diazepam tablets, all of which were taken to the station for further investigation and necessary action.\u201d<br \/><br \/>The spokesman explained that all the recovered exhibits have been moved to the station, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the fleeing suspects.<br \/><br \/>CP Bello Yahaya, the Commissioner of Police lauded the operatives for their swift action and reaffirmed the command\u2019s determination to sustain the fight against crime and drug abuse in Gombe State.<br \/><br \/>He assured that the Command remained resolute in its commitment to ensure a drug-free and crime-free Gombe State, saying that they are sending a strong warning to criminal elements to desist from all forms of criminality or face the full wrath of the law.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following a successful raid on a suspected criminal hideout behind the Gombe Local Government Shopping Complex on October 10, 2025, the Gombe State Police Command has recovered large quantities of illicit drugs.
