{"id":3311,"date":"2025-12-02T08:13:43","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T08:13:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.securityfocus.ng\/?p=3311"},"modified":"2025-12-02T08:13:43","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T08:13:43","slug":"police-repel-boko-haram-attack-hunt-abductors-in-borno","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.securityfocus.ng\/index.php\/2025\/12\/02\/police-repel-boko-haram-attack-hunt-abductors-in-borno\/","title":{"rendered":"Police repel Boko Haram attack, hunt abductors in Borno"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Borno State Police Command says its officers stopped an attack by suspected Boko Haram\/ISWAP fighters on Malari village in Konduga and have started a joint operation to rescue three farmers who were abducted.<br \/><br \/>According to sources, the attack happened on November 30 around 12 p.m. when the terrorists, riding on more than 15 motorcycles, stormed the village and opened fire.<br \/><br \/>A 15-year-old boy, Basha Goigoi from Muna, was shot in the right thigh and taken to the General Hospital in Maiduguri, where he is receiving treatment.<br \/><br \/>The attackers also kidnapped three farmers; Alhaji Kundili (35), Baba Goni (45) and Modu Baluye (50) while they were working on their farmlands.<br \/><br \/>Police said their Crack Squad in Konduga reacted quickly, exchanged gunfire with the terrorists and \u201csuccessfully repelled the attack.\u201d<br \/><br \/>A joint team made up of troops of Operation hadin kai police tactical squads, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters has now launched a coordinated search to track the attackers and rescue the victims.<br \/><br \/>Security agencies urged residents to stay alert and provide \u201ctimely information\u201d to support ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the area.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Borno State Police Command says its officers stopped an attack by suspected Boko Haram\/ISWAP fighters on Malari village in Konduga and have started a joint operation to rescue three farmers who were abducted.
