The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old man, Baffa\u2019ji Abba, for alleged rape of his Neighbour\u2019s eight-year-old daughter in Alkaleri Local Government Area.
The incident was said to have being reported on December 31, 2025, at about 10:42 a.m. by the victim\u2019s father, Baffa\u2019ji Muhammed, at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Alkaleri.
On receipt of the report, a team of detectives led by CSP Kadiri Danjuma, DPO Alkaleri, swiftly visited the scene, moved the victim to the General Hospital Alkaleri for immediate medical attention, and arrested the suspect.
During interrogation, the suspect was said to have willingly confessed to the crime.
According to a statement by the Command\u2019s spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib, the suspect, who lives at the same address as the victim, allegedly lured the child into a bathroom and sexually assaulted her multiple times against her will.
The statement reads \u201c On 31\/12\/2025 at about 1042hrs, one Baffa\u2019ji Muhammed \u2018m\u2019 reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Alkaleri, that on 30\/12\/2025 at about 1830hrs, one Baffa\u2019ji Abba \u2018m\u2019 aged 28yrs (same address with the complainant), lured his biological daughter (name withheld) aged 8yrs of age into a bathroom and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her through both her vagina and anus for about five times in a single day against her will.\u201d
Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to carry out a discreet and thorough investigation into the matter, adding that the suspect will be profiled and subsequently charged to court for the confirmed offences.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
