Thieves armed with guns, knives, and cutlasses have broken into the female hostel of the Numan Campus of Adamawa State Polytechnic and dispossessed students of 15 phones and other valuables.
Witnesses said some students who resisted attempts to steal their phones got injured, with one fainting from the trauma of the attack.
It was gathered Thursday morning that the incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday, May 27, as Muslims were preparing for Sallah celebration.
The helpless students, lamenting their fate, accused the school authorities of negligence and poor security on the campus.
Numan Campus of the Adamawa State Polytechnic is the second largest after the main campus located in the Jimeta metropolis of Yola.
The Information Officer of the polytechnic, Mr Albert Matila, confirmed the Numan Campus incident, assuring that the management will visit the affected female hostel and evaluate the incident.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
