Men of the Oyo State Police Command have arrested no fewer than three suspects in connection with armed robberies in the state.
The suspected armed robbers were arrested in Ibadan, the state capital.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, Olayinka Ayanlade, made the disclosure in a statement issued on Monday.
Ayanlade explained that the suspects were arrested in the Sabo-Mokola area of Ibadan.
The suspects, according to him, are Tomiwa Ayomide, Haruna Kabiru and Haruna Hassan.
Ayanlade added that items recovered from the suspects included one single-barrel, locally made cut-to-size gun and seven cartridges.
He added that the suspects are still in police custody.
Ayanlade said: \u201cActing on credible intelligence regarding the activities of suspected armed robbers operating from a hideout within the Sabo-Mokola area of Ibadan, operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit conducted a coordinated raid on the identified apartment in the early hours of the day.
