The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested five youths alleged to have been terrorising residents of a community in Yola, the state capital.<\/p>\n
The command said the suspects, aged between 18 and 23, were linked to robbery attacks around the Kofare Masallaci Biyu axis in Yola South Local Government Area.<\/p>\n
It was gathered on Wednesday morning that the suspects were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday, September 1, following intelligence received by the police in connection with a recent robbery incident in Kofare.<\/p>\n
The command explained in a statement issued to newsmen that the arrest was carried out by a tactical team attached to the Kofare Divisional Police Headquarters, with the assistance of members of the community.<\/p>\n
The statement, signed by the command\u2019s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, identified the suspects as Nura Aliyu, 20; Abubakar Adamu, 21; Abubakar Muhammed, 23; Abdulhameed Yusuf, 18; and Yusuf Husseini, 20.<\/p>\n
According to the police, all five suspects are residents of Kofare.<\/p>\n
