Police have arrested a woman, Bilkisu Sani, over the alleged killing of her husband, Hafizu Gausu, in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred on Friday at about 7 pm in the Katsalle area of Rogo town.<\/p>\n
A resident, simply identified as Kazagi, revealed that Bilkisu allegedly raised the alarm that her husband had been slaughtered. When residents rushed to check, they found him lying in a pool of blood with an injury to his head.<\/p>\n
He said the police were contacted and subsequently evacuated the body for investigation.<\/p>\n
According to Kazagi, the deceased had recently become engaged to another woman and was planning to marry her as a second wife, which led to repeated disagreements between Gausu and Bilkisu, who allegedly opposed the proposed marriage.<\/p>\n
He added that the police subsequently arrested Bilkisu as the prime suspect in connection with the death.<\/p>\n
