Men of the Oyo State Police Command have arrested two people in connection with criminal activities.<\/p>\n
The command arrested one suspect in connection with defilement, while another was arrested in connection with the vandalisation of cables.<\/p>\n
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, he explained that a 17-year-old male was arrested for allegedly defiling a three-year-old girl in Saki, in the Oke Ogun geopolitical zone of the state.<\/p>\n
He added that the victim was promptly rushed to a medical facility in Saki.<\/p>\n
He said the victim was currently receiving comprehensive clinical treatment and psychotherapeutic care.<\/p>\n
Ayanlade, speaking further, explained that a 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the vandalisation and theft of house-wiring cables valued at approximately N2,692,000 in Ogbomoso.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe arrest was made at about 0530hrs on September 21, 2026, by operatives of the Monitoring Unit attached to Ogbomoso Base, while on anti-crime patrol along Bosunla Street, Ogbomoso.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe operatives accosted the suspect while he was in possession of a sack bag fully loaded with house-wiring cables suspected to have been removed from a building under construction within Ogbomoso Township.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on this disclosure, police operatives immediately visited the identified scene of the crime, where the owner of the vandalised property, Salaudeen Rasaq, was contacted.<\/p>\n
