Three vigilantes from Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State have reportedly been killed by bandits while returning from Agwara in Niger State.<\/p>\n
The incident was disclosed on Wednesday by crisis reporter in the North-West region, Bakatsine, in a post shared via his X handle.<\/p>\n
The victims were identified as Abubakar Mai Nera, the vigilante commander in Saminaka, Tanko Sarki and Amadu Saminaka, all from Saminaka and Bakinturu communities.<\/p>\n
According to local sources cited by Bakatsine, the vigilantes were attacked around Kasabo, Binuwa and Mago, across the River Kwara along the Niger-Kebbi border.<\/p>\n
The attackers reportedly set the victims ablaze after the assault.<\/p>\n
The incident was said to have occurred on Friday, while the bodies of the three vigilantes had yet to be recovered as of Wednesday.<\/p>\n
