Operatives attached to the Safer Highway Patrol during a routine stop and search duty arrested two suspects with arms and ammunition in Delta State.
The suspects included, Osasere Megegbe ‘m’, 45 and one Edosa Monday ‘m’, 35.
The Police also recovered one cut-to-size double barrel gun concealed inside the engine compartment of a Toyota Camry Car with Registration Number: APP134UP driven by the first suspect in company of the other along the Benin-Sapele road in Sapele.
The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
The Police image maker said, “Upon further investigation and interrogation, two additional long single barrel guns shrouded under the back seat of the vehicle were also recovered.”
He noted that the suspects are in custody and will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
