At least, five people have been killed and many others kidnapped following separate attacks by bandits in Zamfara and Sokoto states.
A security analyst, Bakatsine shared details of the attacks in a post on X on Monday.
According to the post, the attacks happened in three different communities within 24 hours.
In Damri community, Bakura Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara, bandits injured two people but left without abducting anyone.
However, in another attack early Monday morning, bandits stormed Birnin Tsaba community in Zurmi LGA of Zamfara, where they killed two people, stole valuable items, and rustled cattle.
On Sunday night, a more deadly attack took place in Dabagi community, Dange-Shuni LGA of Sokoto State. Bandits killed three people and kidnapped an unknown number of residents, both men and women.
“Yesterday night, bandits attacked Dabagi community in Dange-Shuni LGA, Sokoto State. They killed three people and kidnapped an unspecified number of people both male and female during the attack,” Bakatsine wrote.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
