55 Suspected Yahoo Boys Nabbed By EFCC In Ogun

Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have apprehended 55 individuals suspected of engaging in internet-related fraud.

The arrests were made during a sting operation conducted on Wednesday, July 6, 2025, at K Hotel, located in the Itori area of Ewekoro Local Government, Ogun State. The operation followed credible intelligence linking the suspects to various cybercrime activities.

During the operation, EFCC operatives recovered several items, including six luxury vehicles, two locally fabricated pistols, a motorcycle, numerous laptops, mobile phones, incriminating documents, and 89 unclaimed mobile phones suspected to be tools used in perpetrating cybercrimes.


The suspects are currently cooperating with investigators and have provided useful information to assist ongoing inquiries. According to EFCC, they will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
