Bandits attacked Dogon Daji village in Zamfara State on Monday evening, killing the community’s traditional ruler and abducting several residents.
The assailants also blocked the Tsafe-Gusau road, causing fear and disruption for travelers and locals.
The incident was shared in a post on X by security analyst, Bakatsine on Tuesday.
“Yesterday evening, bandits attacked Dogon Daji in Zamfara State. They slaughtered the village traditional ruler.
“They also blocked Tsafe to Gusau road and abducting several people. Faskari LGA peace deals with bandits only shift violence not end it,” he wrote.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident as at the time of filing this report.
