Kebbi Showdown: Police, vigilantes kill three bandits in daring operation

Kebbi State Police Command, on Friday, said a combined team of police officers and vigilantes killed three suspected Lakurawa bandits during an operation in Gorun Yamma village, Dandi Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson CSP Nafiu Abubakar confirmed that the Divisional Police Officer in Kamba, Muhammed Bello, acted on intelligence to mobilize security operatives, who engaged the bandits in a gun duel lasting several hours.

The confrontation resulted in the deaths of three suspects, the recovery of an unregistered vehicle, and the abandonment of weapons by other bandits who fled into the forest with gunshot injuries.

Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M. Sani, commended the operatives for their courage, urged continued pressure on criminal elements, and reassured residents of the command’s commitment to making Kebbi State unsafe for banditry.
