Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have intensified counter-terrorism operations in Borno State, intercepting logistics meant for insurgents and arresting a suspected Boko Haram member.
On September 29, troops intercepted suspected Boko Haram suppliers along the Gubio–Binduldul axis.
In a post via his official X account, security expert Zagazola Makama stated that the suspects abandoned their tricycles loaded with drinks, eggs, yam, and other items upon sighting the soldiers. One of them was arrested, while investigations revealed that the supplies were destined for Taiye Market in Abadam, a notorious insurgent stronghold.
In a separate operation on September 28, troops of the 117 Task Force Battalion arrested a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP operative at Gatamarwa village in Chibok Local Government Area. The suspect reportedly confessed during interrogation that he was assigned to conduct reconnaissance for the terrorist group.
Military authorities confirmed to Makama that the suspect has been handed over to security agencies for further investigation, while vowing to sustain operations aimed at crippling terrorist networks in the North East.
