The Zamfara State Police Command has arrested a man caught with a locally made pistol while on routine patrol along the Gusau–Kaura Namoda highway
In a post shared on Monday on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama, it was revealed that the arrest took place on October 12 around 11:30 a.m. during a patrol led by DSP Oludele Oparinde.
The post stated that the patrol team stopped a man identified as Yakubu Kasimu, who was riding a Boxer motorcycle.
Makama added that a search conducted on him led to the discovery of a locally made pistol concealed on his body.
“The suspect was promptly arrested, and the seized weapon was taken as evidence,” Makama stated.
The suspect and the recovered weapon have been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Gusau for continued investigation
