Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have killed more than 50 terrorists and foiled several coordinated attacks on military locations across Borno and Yobe States.

The Nigerian military said the simultaneous attacks took place between midnight and 4:00 a.m. on Thursday when insurgents launched assaults on troops’ positions in Dikwa, Mafa, Gajibo, and Katarko all within Sectors 1 and 2 of the Joint Operations Area.

This was revealed in a statement on Thursday in Maiduguri signed by Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force North East (OPHK).

According to him, the troops fought bravely and professionally, successfully repelling the attacks.

“In all instances, troops stood firm, fought gallantly, and professionally repelled the attacks, dealing the terrorists a heavy, decisive and bloody blow,” Uba said.
