Two Suspects In Custody As Kwara Police Rescue Kidnap Victim In Ilorin

Operatives of the Kwara State Police Command have rescued a kidnap victim, identified as Haruna Ahamadu, in Omu-Aran forest in Irepodun Local Government Area of the state.

The rescue operation was carried out by a combined team of police operatives and vigilantes acting on credible intelligence.

‎Two suspects, Ayisa Ibrahim (female) and Yakubu Hassan (male) are currently in custody, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang, according to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Adetoun Ejire Adeyemi, in Ilorin on Thursday.

‎The Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, commended the professionalism and dedication of the officers involved in the operation, assuring members of the public that the command remains fully committed to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety of all residents.

He further reiterated that investigations are progressing steadily with promising leads already being pursued.
