Armed bandits have reportedly abducted two persons in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The incident occurred on Wednesday at about 18:00hours, when one Mallam Garba and his son, Bala all residents of Ungwan kambari Ologede, Idofin Odo-Ashe jurisdiction, were kidnapped by armed bandits on their way from the farm.
The area is close to Babanla, where a military base is located.
It was gathered through security sources that the son, however, escaped from the attack by the bandits, while the father was taken away.
In a related development, a snake bite patient and his people that were taking the patient for treatment were attacked by the bandits but they all escaped by whiskers.
Security report received indicated that the bandits have regrouped in a place called Sabon Gari on Ahun land in ifelodun local government.
“They were seen with almost three hundred motorcycles heading towards Eruku in Ekiti local government two days ago,” a security source said.
