Police in Sokoto State have arrested three people suspected of funding and providing information to bandit groups.
Sources said that one of the suspects is identified as Ruwa Ginyo, the Fulani leader of Gidan-Madi in Tangaza local government area.
According to the police, the three were picked up on 3 December 2025 while allegedly trying to sell four cows believed to have been stolen from local communities.
During questioning, the suspects reportedly admitted that they helped arrange the sale of rustled cattle and sent the money to the bandits.
The police say investigations are still ongoing to uncover more connections and recover additional stolen animals.
