Suspected Boko Haram terrorists attack Adamawa community

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have attacked a community in the Garage District of Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The hometown of a former Secretary of the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, was invaded on Christmas Day by the terrorists.

Sources said the hoodlums stormed the village of Mayo Ladde, which borders Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State and the Sambisa Forest, taking security operatives by surprise.

The Chairman of Hong Local Government, Mr Usman Waaganda, confirmed the terrorist attack but said no casualty had been reported.

According to him, the terrorists were repelled by soldiers of Operation Hadin Kai in collaboration with other security personnel.

The Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer SP Suleiman Nguroje confirmed that Mayo Ladde suffered violence during Christmas but that the community has calmed down.

Hong LGA lies in the northern part of Adamawa State, where the Boko Haram elements are known to operate.
