3 Arrested For Killing NSCDC Officer In Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has arrested three armed men allegedly responsible for killing an officer, AbduRauf A. Shariff, while trying to prevent a criminal act.

Confirming the incident, the Kano Command Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, said the 29-year-old officer was on duty at the Court Road outpost in Kano when the attack occurred.

He said, the mob actions who came in numbers, carrying Arms were undertaking their Criminal dastardly act of Phone Snatching and other Crimes when the Officer attached to the Court Road outpost tried to stopped.

“Unfortunately, the Criminals were carrying Weapons which they used in killing him after causing serious injuries on him”.

He said their Men who arrived at the scene they were able to arrest three of the Criminals with their Weapons and already they have been taken to custody.

SC Abdullahi noted that the corps is working in conjunction with the police to track down other fleeing suspects who participated in the attack.

The officer, AbduRauf A. Shariff, has since been buried according to Islamic rites following medical examination.
