Oyo Police arrest four suspects over alleged kidnapping, murder

Oyo State Police command says it has arrested no fewer than four (4) people in connection with alleged cases of kidnapping and murder.

The four suspects were arrested at different locations in the state.

Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Olayinka Ayanlade disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday evening.


Ayanlade said that a kidnap victim, Hussinat Abubakar had been rescued, while three suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime.

He said, “The suspects have confessed to their involvement in the crime. Investigations continue to apprehend the remaining members of the syndicate.

“The victim is receiving treatment and all necessary support at the hospital, while the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation”.

He added that one suspect has been arrested in connection with a clash among students at Michael Koleoso Polytechnic, Saki.

“Olatunji David Segun, male, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

“Further investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances and motive behind the crime,” he stated.
