Gunmen Kill Police Officer, Abduct Chinese National In Oyo

A policeman whose name has not been revealed has died as a result of injuries he sustained during an attack on a company in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Recall that the policeman was killed when some gunmen suspected to be kidnappers stormed Aqua Triton Company, located at Ogunmakin, along Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.

It was learnt that a Chinese expatriate was kidnapped during the attack on Saturday.

Public Relations Officer of Oyo State Police command, Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the incident.
Ayanlade said, “There was an attack at Aqua Triton Company in Ogunmakin, near Ibadan, Oyo State, where yet to be identified gunmen stormed the facility in a commando-style operation.

“One police officer tragically died while repelling the attack, injuring some of the assailants, and the Chinese expatriate principal was abducted”.
