The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has announced the immediate posting of AIG Olatunji Rilwan Disu as the new Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.
Prior to the redeployment, AIG Disu headed the Special Protection Unit (SPU), where he oversaw the security of top government officials, diplomats, and other high-risk individuals.
Disu once served as the Commissioner of Police Abuja FCT, Commissioner of Police for Rivers State Command, among other exemplary roles.
He was decorated with the AIG rank on 25th March 2025.
His appointment to the Alagbon Annex is widely seen as a reflection of the confidence reposed in his operational competence and leadership experience.
