Troops, CJTF Arrest Suspected Boko Haram Recruiter in Borno

Troops of 29 Brigade, Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, have arrested a suspected Boko Haram recruiter in Benesheikh in Borno state.

This was made known in a post on X by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency and security expert in the Lake Chad region.

Makama stated that the suspect was identified through credible intelligence provided by an informant, linking him to activities involving the recruitment of individuals into terrorist ranks.

According to Makama, the suspect was arrested on March 24 during a coordinated operation by troops and CJTF members in the area.

“The suspect is currently in custody and will be processed in line with established procedures, while further investigations are ongoing to uncover his network and possible accomplices,” a source said.
