Police arrest suspected house robber in Delta

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command, have recovered a locally fabricated pistol and arrested a 23 year old suspect, Aminu Inusa along the Benin-Asaba Expressway, during a stop and search operation.

The recovery was made on Wednesday.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the report in a statement in Warri.

He said, “on 25 March 2026 at about 1300hrs, operatives of the Command’s Raiders Squad, while acting on credible intelligence, carried out a stop-and-search operation along the Benin–Asaba Expressway by Custom Market, Oshimili North Local Government Area.”

According to SP Edafe,”During the exercise, one Aminu Inusa, male, aged 23 years, was intercepted.

“A search conducted on the suspect led to the recovery of one locally fabricated Beretta pistol.

“The suspect has been taken into custody, and an investigation is ongoing.”
