Troops have arrested a suspected kidnapper believed to be part of an attack on a Point-of-Sale (POS) operator in Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The arrest was disclosed in a post shared on X by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.
According to the post, the operation was carried out on April 21 at about 10:35 a.m. by troops of the 232 Battalion (Tactical) under Operation HADIN KAI during a covert mission in Loko village.
Security sources said the suspect was identified as one of those involved in a March 12, 2026 attack on a POS operator in the area.
According to Makama, preliminary findings also indicated that he had been on the wanted list of the Department of State Services (DSS) over his alleged involvement in kidnapping-related activities.
Following his arrest, the suspect was handed over to the DSS for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Authorities also said security operations are being intensified in the area to track down other members of the suspected criminal network still at large.
