Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed four Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters and arrested one during an ongoing military operation in the Timbuktu Triangle.
Sources said that the troops, operating under Brigade Group I (25 Brigade Guards/19 Battalion), engaged the terrorists around 1:15 pm on May 5 in the Multe area.
“During the firefight, four terrorists were neutralised while one was captured alive,” the report stated.
Security forces also recovered weapons and equipment from the group, including three AK-47 rifles, 50 rounds of ammunition, five magazines, nine bicycles and two motorcycles.
The operation continued as troops cleared several terrorist hideouts in Dusu, Multe and Hawan Burum, strengthening control in the area.
According to the report, “All recovered items and the captured terrorist have been moved to Headquarters 25 Brigade for further action.”
