Troops nab suspected kidnapper in Kaduna, recover cash, mobile phone

Troops of Sector 7, Operation Enduring Peace, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a suspected kidnapper in Kamuru village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

In a post on his social media platform, a known Media expert, and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, quoted security source saying, “The suspect was apprehended around 3:30 a.m. on May 12 during a joint security raid in the community.

The suspect, identified as Husaini Jibrin, 45, was allegedly linked to a kidnapping incident that occurred on April 26, 2026, in Angwan Ali community within the same local government area.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect may have played a role in the planning and execution of the abduction, which heightened tension among residents of neighbouring communities.

Items recovered from the suspect during the operation included a mobile phone and N10,000 cash,” it said.
