Lagos Police Intercept Truck Loaded with Military Camouflage, Suspected Illicit Drugs; Four Arrested

…Recovered 47 Sacks of Camouflage Uniforms, 80 Cartons of Suspected Illicit Substances

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have intercepted a truck conveying forty-seven (47) sacks of military camouflage uniforms and eighty (80) cartons of drugs suspected to be illicit substances, dealing a blow to what investigators believe may be an illegal supply network.

The interception followed credible intelligence received by the Command, leading officers to stop an unregistered MAN diesel truck at the exit point of Lagos State.

Four suspects were arrested during the operation and are currently in police custody.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the military camouflage uniforms were allegedly being transported to the Eastern part of the country. Detectives are now working to establish the source and ownership of the recovered items, identify their intended recipients, and determine the level of involvement of the arrested suspects.

Police authorities said efforts are ongoing to apprehend other persons linked to the criminal operation.

The Command noted that the recovery underscores the importance of intelligence-led policing and reaffirmed its commitment to disrupting criminal networks and preventing the unlawful circulation of restricted items capable of threatening public safety and national security.

Further updates will be provided as investigations progress.
