…Recover 100 Unregistered Motorcycles, Firearms, Suspected Stolen Property and Illicit Drugs
The Lagos State Police Command has recorded another major breakthrough under its ongoing Operation KO S’AYE, arresting 150 suspects and recovering firearms, suspected stolen property, illicit drugs and 100 unregistered motorcycles during coordinated raids on criminal hideouts across the Igando-Idimu axis.
The operation, conducted in the early hours of Sunday, July 5, 2026, targeted identified criminal black spots, including Boolar and the Okofilling Bus Stop area of Igando, following credible intelligence reports.
According to the Command, operatives drawn from various formations carried out the raid as part of efforts to dismantle criminal networks and deny hoodlums safe operating spaces within the state.
Items recovered during the operation include a double-barrel gun, two single-barrel guns, a locally fabricated double-barrel short gun, two military camouflage uniforms, 54 mobile phones, six generators suspected to have been stolen, assorted charms, substances suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs, as well as 100 unregistered motorcycles.
All 150 suspects are currently in police custody, while investigations continue to determine their individual involvement in criminal activities. Those found culpable will be prosecuted accordingly.
Commending the operatives for their professionalism, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining Operation KO S’AYE across the state.
He stressed that the initiative remains a key strategy in the Command’s efforts to rid Lagos of criminal elements, improve public safety and ensure that criminals have no safe haven anywhere within the state.
The Commissioner also called on residents to continue supporting the Police with credible and timely information capable of aiding crime prevention and detection.
