Troops of Sector 3, Operation Enduring Peace, OPEP, have rescued a soldier who was recently abducted at the Nigerian Army Training Centre, NATC, Miango Range, in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The soldier, identified as Cpl. Amos Bala, was kidnapped on September 27, 2026, at the NATC Miango Range.
Sources told security expert Zagazola Makama that the victim was released by his abductors at about 9:00 p.m. on September 28 following sustained pressure from troops conducting rescue operations in the area.
The soldier reportedly sustained injuries during his captivity and was immediately evacuated to the NATC Medical Centre for treatment.
He was subsequently treated and later rejoined his unit.
The development followed ongoing efforts by troops of Sector 3 OPEP to locate the abducted soldier and secure his safe release.
