Man arrested by police for allegedly stabbing wife to death in Lagos

The police in Lagos state have arrested a man identified as Peter Dike for allegedly st&bbing his 38-year-old wife to death during a heated argument at their apartment in the Oke Ira Ilogbo Eremi community, Morogbo, Lagos State on March 19.

According to eyewitnesses, Dike and his wife had a serious argument that degenerated into fight. In the heat of the moment, the suspect allegedly went into their kitchen, picked up a knife and used it to stab his wife. She lost a lot of blood and d!ed from the inflicted injuries.

Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the kitchen knife used has been recovered and the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue of General Hospital, Badagry.

He said the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti Yaba.
