37 suspected fraudsters arrested in Taraba

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Wukari, Taraba State.

Operatives from the Makurdi Zonal Directorate carried out the raid on Wednesday, August 27, 2027, at a hideout behind the Federal University, Wukari, following credible intelligence linking the suspects to cybercrime activities.

Recovered items from the operation include two cars, 12 laptops, and 46 mobile phones.

The anti-graft agency in a post via its official X account on Wednesday, said the suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
