No Human Parts Sale In Lagos Restaurant – Police

The Lagos State Police Command has debunked a viral video alleging that a restaurant along Airport Road was involved in criminal activities such as killings and the sale of human parts.

Describing the claims as false and misleading, the Command stressed that the content was capable of causing unnecessary panic and tarnishing the image of genuine businesses operating in the state.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, to launch a thorough probe into the allegation.

According to Hundeyin, investigators found no evidence to support the allegations, as nothing incriminating was uncovered during checks on the restaurant.

“The public is urged to disregard the video and continue their normal activities, including patronising the restaurant, as there is no proof whatsoever backing the claims,” the statement read in part.

The Command disclosed that efforts were underway to identify and apprehend the individuals behind the circulation of the misleading footage. It encouraged residents with credible information on the source of the video to reach out to the Command’s Complaint Response Unit via 09111111150 or 09111111151, assuring that such information would be treated with strict confidentiality.
