Gunmen abduct seven in Kwara community

At least seven persons, including four adults and three children, were abducted by gunmen in Isanlu Isin area of Kwara State.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, who shared the incident in a post on X on Saturday, the attack occurred on Thursday night when armed men stormed Gaa Oloyin Manasara, Eleyinvia, shooting sporadically before taking their victims away.

The abducted victims were identified as Adamu, 70; Olanrewaju, 1 year 2 months; Soliu, 1 year 3 months; Fatima, 27; Salamotu, 25; Ramota, 23; and Adijat, 3 years.


Following the report, security operatives, vigilantes, and local hunters were mobilized to the area and commenced a search in the surrounding bushes.

Authorities assured that efforts were ongoing to rescue the abducted persons safely and to apprehend the perpetrators for prosecution
