Breakthrough As FCT Police Arrest Five Notorious Bandits, Recover Arms, Ammunition

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command has tracked down and arrested five notorious and wanted bandits and recovered arms and ammunition.

The Public Relations Officer of the FCT Police Command made the development known in a statement on Monday.

She stated that the operation was led by the Commander Scorpion Squad on the 20th through to 28th September 2025.


Following preliminary investigation, the PPRO revealed that the suspects were responsible for several kidnappings in the North Central, North West, and North East regions of the country.

She said the suspects have been on the wanted list of the Police and other security agencies.

According to her, they were tracked to Nasarawa, where they were arrested.

She identified the suspects as Abdullahi Garuba a.k.a. Alhaji Ore, Yusuf Inuwa a.k.a. Alhaji Dabunda, David Kaika a.k.a. Baba, Baba Imaji, female, Ibrahim Nasiru a.k.a. Pepper.

2,186 rounds of live 7.62 x 39mm AK-47 ammunition, two AK-47 rifles with obliterated serial numbers, one locally fabricated pistol with two live cartridges, five operational motorcycles were recovered from the suspects.

“All suspects have confessed to their crimes and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations. Efforts are ongoing to track and arrest their other gang members currently on the run.

“While commending the bravery and gallantry of the officers, the CP Ajao S. Adewale psc. mnips., reassured the public of his continued efforts to rid the FCT and its environs of crime and criminality”, she added.
