Kogi police rescue women kidnapped from Adavi forest

Police in Kogi State have rescued two women who were abducted nearly a month ago from Irewagere Fulani Camp in Adavi Local Government Area.

According to a post shared on X by security analyst, Zagazola Makama on Monday, the victims, Safara Yakubu and Habibat Aminu, both aged 25 and of Fulani descent, were kidnapped on November 3, 2025, at around 11:00 p.m.

Makama reported that the Divisional Police Officer of Osara, acting on credible intelligence, mobilized a team that rescued the women along the Osara-Oshokoshoko Obajana Forest on Sunday at about 2:00 p.m.


The rescued women are currently receiving medical attention at a local medical center, while authorities continue investigations into the abduction.
