Troops neutralise 3 suspected kidnappers in Kaduna

Troops of the Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace have neutralised three suspected kidnappers during a raid on their hideout in Bakin Kogi, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident was contained in a post shared on Friday by security analyst Zagazola Makama, on X on Friday.

According to the post, the operation took place on December 11 as part of ongoing efforts to clear criminal groups ahead of the festive season.

Makama said the troops came under fire as they moved toward the hideout but responded with what was described as superior firepower, forcing the armed gang to retreat.

“A sweep of the area later revealed the bodies of three suspected kidnappers who were neutralised during the exchange,” he wrote.

Security sources quoted by Makama said the suspects were believed to be members of a notorious syndicate linked to several abductions and attacks on travellers along the Dangoma–Godogodo axis in Jema’a LGA.

The source added that troops have already launched follow-up operations to track down other fleeing members of the group and dismantle their remaining networks.
