Delta: Police arrest suspected drug dealer, recover bags of Indian hemp

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 47 year old suspected drug dealer in Sapele.

Eight bags of weed weed suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered from the suspect during his arrest on 18th December 2025.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

The statement read, “Operatives of the CP–Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT), led by ASP Julius Robinson, while acting on credible intelligence, raided a residence in the Gana area of Sapele on 18th December 2025 at about 0805 hours.

“The operation led to the arrest of one Felix Africa, male, aged 44 years. A search of the premises resulted in the recovery of eight (8) bags of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.

“The suspect admitted ownership of the exhibits and confessed to engaging in the buying and selling of Indian hemp and other illicit drugs.

“Investigation is ongoing.”
