Abia Police Rescue Missing Four-Year-Old Boy, Seek Public Assistance

The Abia State Police Command has rescued a four-year-old boy, identified as Jeremiah Emmanuel Gimba, who was reported missing and is believed to be from Nasarawa State.

The development was confirmed on Friday in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Maureen Chinaka.

According to the police, the child, who is dark-skinned and has no visible facial marks, was found and taken into protective custody by officers of the command.


Chinaka called on parents or guardians who may be searching for a child matching the boy’s description to come forward for identification.

“Parents or guardians whose child fits this description are advised to visit the Gender Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Abia State Police Command, or contact the Police Public Relations Department for further inquiries,” the statement said.

The police assured that the child is safe and urged members of the public to assist with information that could help reunite him with his family.
