A private security man employed by a private school in Aba, Abia State, has been arrested by the police after he allegedly defiled a three-year-old pupil of the school.
The incident happened on Friday at Umuosi Road by Ibadan Road, Aba, after school hours, while the pupil was waiting for her parents to come and pick her from the school.
It was alleged that the suspect dragged the child to a lonely area of the school where he defiled her, before sneaking back to his duty post in the school.
But according to a resident of Ibadan Road, Brian Ogukwe, the evil acts of the security man were exposed after the defiled pupil started walking in pain, thereby attracting public attention.
A closer check conducted by her parents and other residents on the victim, according to Ogukwe, confirmed the attack, prompting them to report the matter to the private school’s management and the police.
“The security man was begging the angry mob for forgiveness blaming the devil for his actions, but the police have arrested him”, Ogukwe said.
He further said that the abused child was rushed to a hospital in Abia for immediate medical attention, adding that the parents of the child are demanding justice for their little daughter.
