Oyo Police Nab 10 Suspected Robbers, Recover N100m Loot

The Oyo State Police Command has announced that it has arrested no fewer than 10 suspected armed robbers.

The command noted that the suspects were apprehended in a hotel located in Ibadan, the state capital.

The announcement was made via a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, on Sunday evening.

Ayanlade stated that the 10 members of the armed robbery syndicate were arrested at their hideout within a hotel in the Challenge area of Ibadan.

He added that the criminal gang is known for hijacking containers at gunpoint.

The suspects, according to the police, are Mukaila Omorayo, Adekanbi Adesola, Ahmed Oderinlo, Samuel Omoseyin, Ramon Saheed, Monilola Ajayi and Akanbi Bisi.

Others include Wasilat Abdullahi, Bolaji Tanimola, and Adeola Oyesina.

Ayanlade further noted that some stolen items were recovered from the suspects, with the total value of the recovered exhibits estimated at One Hundred Million Naira (₦100,000,000.00).
