NDLEA dismantles drug black spots in Ogun (Photos)

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Ogun State Command, under its “Operation Restore Order” enforcement, has dismantled drug black spots and arrested no fewer than 12 persons.

The enforcement is a nationwide coordinated operation launched by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa, rtd.

Recall that the operation is aimed at dismantling identified drug black spots across the country.

In Ogun State, the operation led to targeted raids on several identified drug black spots in Abeokuta, including Mayas, Maiami, Panseke, Onion Market, Eleweran, MKO Stadium Kuto Park, and WAPCO, Lafenwa.

According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, Haris Musa, one woman and eleven men were arrested.

Musa noted that the Command remains resolute in its statutory mandate to protect communities and deny illicit drug activities a foothold across Ogun State.

“The coordinated operations are aimed at disrupting illicit drug activities, dismantling drug networks, and reclaiming public spaces being used for drug trafficking and abuse,” Musa stated.
