Anambra police arrest woman over alleged child pornography, rescue four children

A 36-year-old content creator, Anulika Onyeanusia, has been arrested by operatives of the Anambra State Police Command over an alleged case of child pornography on social media.

Recall that a disturbing video of a woman allegedly using sex toys on a minor went viral recently.

The woman was accused of using different children in explicit content during a private livestream.

Several video clips of netizens calling for her immediate arrest trended on Thursday across social media platforms.

A statement issued on Thursday night by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed that the suspect is now in custody.

The PPRO said that during the operation in Onitsha, four children, aged two, three, six and nine years, respectively, were rescued from the suspect.

He also confirmed that several sex toys and other items relevant to the ongoing investigation were recovered.

“The suspect is currently in police custody as the Command intensifies its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged offence and the possible involvement of other persons.

“The husband of the suspect is also undergoing interrogation to determine whether he has any connection with the alleged offence,” the statement added.
