The Abia State Police Command says it has discovered a criminal hideout where stolen vehicles are kept, in the Isuochi area of the state.
According to the command, one white Dodge vehicle with registration number, Lagos APP-909KF, and a red Toyota Camry, with registration number Enu-43AZ, were recovered from the hideout.
The spokesperson of the Abia State Police Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, explaining that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the members of the syndicate behind the hideout.
She said the discovery was made by the operatives of the Isuochi Divisional Police Headquarters, who acted on credible and actionable intelligence, in line with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Wilfred Afolabi.
“The operatives successfully carried out the operation, leading to the recovery of the vehicles. The recovered vehicles are currently in safe police custody.
“Members of the public whose vehicles may have been stolen and fits the recovered vehicles description are advised to come to the Police Headquarters, Umuahia, with valid proof of ownership for identification and reclaim,” the statement said.
