IGP Disu Visits Chief of Air Staff Over Military Plane Crash In Ondo

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid a condolence visit to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal S.K. Aneke, following the NAF 931 aircraft crash that claimed 25 lives.

Disu visited Aneke on Friday, October 9, to convey the condolences of the Nigeria Police Force to the leadership, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of those who died in the incident.

The visit was disclosed in a statement on Friday, October 9, by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anthony Iniedu, on behalf of the Nigeria Police Force.

According to the statement, the IGP expressed the police’s solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force over the tragedy and prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved families and colleagues of the deceased.

“The IGP conveyed the condolences of the Nigeria Police Force to the leadership, officers and men of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of those who lost their lives in the incident,” the statement said.

The police also reaffirmed their support for the Nigerian Air Force at what it described as a difficult time, while paying tribute to the personnel who died in the crash.

“The Nigeria Police Force remains in solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force at this difficult time and honours the service and sacrifice of those who lost their lives,” the statement added.
