Gunmen have kidnapped three individuals, including a teenager, a state official and one Alhaji Suleiman Ndagi, in Gbugbu community, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The victims were said to have been abducted between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm on Monday.
The spokespersaon of the State Police Command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the incident during a press briefing in Ilorin on Wednesday.
She lamented that despite the presence of security personnel in the area, abductions in Edu LGA continue.
Similar incidents have also been reported in other communities, including Ndeji, where residents have fled their homes for safety.
Security forces, including the police, military, civil defence, local hunters and vigilantes, have intensified operations to track down the perpetrators in Edu, Ifelodun and Patigi local governments, where bandit hideouts have been identified.
